Hillcrest Joinery has recently achieved the Secured by Design certification, the official UK Police flagship initiative supporting the principles of 'designing out crime' on its Timber Windows and Doors.
The SBD initiative is a rigorous scheme which tests the timber windows and doors to ensure that they offer superb safety and security performance. Hillcrest timber windows and doors are innovatively designed to prevent against crime, and offer enhanced protection against intruders with its multiple security features.
The SBD range is manufactured using Float Glass Low E safety glass and incorporating a 6point espagnolette locking system with a window or door handle mechanism complete with lockable system to meet all requirements for PAS 23 and PAS 24 and Secured By Design.
