A. Low Emissive Glass enables the suns energy to pass into a room but prevents internal heat loss.

Q. Are Hillcrest Glass products guaranteed?

A. Yes, all of our units carry a guarantee for a period of ten years from the date of manufacture that is stamped on the spacer bar.

Q. What turnaround time do you offer on your glass products?

A. The turnaround time on our products is between 3 and 7 days depending on the nature of the order. All customers will be advised on their specific order at the time of placement.

Q. Does Hillcrest work with decorative glass?

A. Yes, we have a team of highly skilled craftsmen who produce not only decorative glass and various shapes, but also Georgian wire. We will be happy to provide you with a consultation to discuss your requirements.

Q. Do you have a BSI Kite Mark for your glass?

A. Yes, any sealed double glazing unit made by Hillcrest Glass Ltd complies with specifications for BS EN 1279-2 (Kitemark License KM 33268)

Any unit incorporating toughened safety glass complies with BS 6206 class A (Kitemark License KM 81931) and is permanently marked on the glass.

Q. What is a Kitemark?

A. The Kitemark is a BSI certification mark, licensed for use on our products after independent testing has been carried out to establish conformity with the stated standard, and satisfactory assessment of the manufacturing control process has taken place to establish that such conformity may consistently be achieved. BSI verifies continuing product conformity by periodic product testing and assessment of the manufacturing process.

Q. Where should safety glass be used?

A. Safety glass should be used in doors and low-level glazing as well as all areas specified by BS6180 and BS6262.
